BIO

Jayson Veley started his broadcasting career in 2009 with The Junior Factor, a local access television show that he co-hosted with a friend and aired until 2012. Shortly after, he took on a bigger project — launching a network called Junior Factor Nation. The network consists of several different talk radio programs, all hosted by conservatives in their teens and early twenties. His own show, Factor Talk Radio, airs from 7-8 PM on Monday and Thursday nights. Veley plans on continuing with radio after college, hoping to become the next Mark Levin or Rush Limbaugh.

Why is it important that at this particular point in time, right-of-center youth become involved publicly, whether in politics, media, their communities, or another capacity?

Right now, we are seeing our young people being indoctrinated with liberal propaganda like never before. Both the mainstream media and the public education system are conveying a false narrative — that the Founding Fathers were nothing but a bunch of racists, the Constitution is outdated, and America really isn’t the greatest country on earth after all. Once these ideas have been ingrained in the minds of the youth, the whole notion of conservatism is essentially eliminated. The progressives are succeeding in their quest to make things like income equality, socialism, and political correctness “cool” among the youth. That is why right-of-center youth MUST become involved immediately — to combat this indoctrination, which is destroying our future. Now is the time to speak without fear.

What must elected officials and others in positions of leadership do to make a right-of-center message resonate with the Millennial generation?

If there is one thing that I have noticed, it is that young people do not like authority — they don’t like being told what to do or how to do it. This, believe it or not, is the key to successfully conveying a conservative message to the youth. If Republicans in office reached out to the Millennial generation and said “we are the party that believes in staying out of your way,” while at the same time saying “the Democrats are the ones who want to tell you what to do,” I believe that we will see young people abandoning liberalism by the millions. To deliver this message, I think more elected officials should be speaking at high schools and colleges at every chance.

Where would you like to see the conservative movement in 10 years — and how can it get there?

10 years from now, I want the conservative movement to be stronger than ever. I want the values of personal responsibility and liberty to exist in the heart of every American. I want the people to be well aware that tyranny is never more than one generation away, and that freedom must be defended constantly if we are to remain the greatest nation on earth. I also hope that the definition of conservatism is not altered in any way. Right now, we have several Republicans in office who call themselves conservatives, yet stand for things like gun control and amnesty. This is not the definition of conservatism now, and I hope that it won’t be the definition in 10 years.

Polititainment

Obama's secret meetings with Jon Stewart
The “most open and transparent administration in history” already has quite the reputation for stonewalling and bullying the press. It’s little surprise that the president was also in the practice of secretly cajoling the Daily Show into plugging his agenda. A new Politico report reveals that Barack Obama twice called Jon Stewart to the White House for secret meetings—a process Stewart jokingly compared […]
Oliver blasts mandatory minimums
John Oliver spent Sunday night highlighting the tragic effects of senselessly harsh mandatory minimum sentences–sentences, he noted, which were once enthusiastically pushed by Democrats like Bill Clinton. In one case, Weldon Angelos, a twenty-something nonviolent first-time offender, received 55 years with no parole for selling a small amount of marijuana to an informant, simply because he happened […]
Rodman endorses Trump for president
Most of Donald Trump’s former Celebrity Apprentice contestants have stayed silent on his presidential run, but Trump scored an endorsement from one star that’s just as controversial as himself. NBA champion and part-time North Korean ambassador Dennis Rodman tweeted out his support for Trump Friday. @realDonaldTrump has been a great friend for many years. We don't need […]
Jeb needs help understanding Sharknado
Jeb Bush saw Sharknado 3 and now he’s just really confused, and has turned to the American people, begging “Please help me.” Needed a quick explainer on this #Sharknado3 thing @mcuban http://t.co/MfXqQBelbw— Jeb Bush (@JebBush) July 24, 2015 @mcuban @SyfyTV I already caught 10 minutes of it I don't know if watching more will bring additional […]
Jon Stewart raves about The Donald
Jon Stewart stumbles on the sad truth of American politics: anything that’s not a Donald Trump zinger is just, well, boring in comparison. “This guy is so much fun,” Stewart enthused. “Watching this man run for president, it’s like eating ice cream on  a roller coaster made of blowjobs.” He also had some fun imagining […]

Billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban praised his former frenemy, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump, for his campaign tactics. Hillary is confused on her support of gay marriage
Hillary Clinton is having a lot of memory lapses on the campaign trail in Iowa. On Sunday, she called the GOP candidates “those guys,” forgetting that there is another woman running besides herself, and on Monday in a local interview she said that she supported marriage equality  “as a right, not to be given or […]

Carson won't live in White House if elected
Presidential candidate Ben Carson has an unusual plan to avoid political corruption — he won’t live in the White House. In a recent Facebook Q&A, he was asked how he would ensure that he would not become corrupted by power if he were to become elected. He responded with this potentially unfeasible plan. Carson also said that he would […]
Paul: Country can unite around defunding PP
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) believes that defunding Planned Parenthood is an issue Americans can unite on. “The time is now,” Paul said at Eagle Forum Collegians Summit last Thursday, “to say ‘you know what, there’s no reason for any more government money to go to Planned Parenthood.’” He said he knows a lot of pro-choice people who were […]

Illegal immigrants being released
A ruling by Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee that mandated illegal immigrant children and their mothers be released early because of intolerable conditions in detention centers has had huge ramifications. Immigration judges in Texas have begun ordering the release of women and children from detention without bond following Gee’s decision on Friday, the Huffington Post […]
White House refuses petition to pardon Snowden
Contrary to some recent reports, the White House is not softening on Snowden. On Tuesday, the administration responded to a “We the People” petition asking for clemency for Edward Snowden. The White House’s reply (which was, unsurprisingly, a “no”) slammed Snowden’s “dangerous decision” to “steal” information, and accused him of “running away from the consequences of […]
NSA promises to destroy old phone records
The NSA promises it’s going to destroy your phone records—just not quite yet. That’s the gist of the Obama administration’s announcement Monday that the NSA will eventually be required to get rid of all the records they collected under a since-expired metadata collection program. “As soon as possible, NSA will destroy the Section 215 bulk […]
Louisiana's Obamacare co-op to close
Despite millions in taxpayer investment, the Louisiana Department of Insurance announced Friday that the state’s Obamacare health insurance co-op will shut down by the end of 2015. In September 2012, the Louisiana Health Co-operative received $66 million from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to CMS records. But by 2014, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners reported […]
Concealed carry permit stops crazed shooter
To stop a bad guy with a gun all you need is a good guy with a gun. This is what happened in Cincinnati on Sunday night when Thomas McCary fired at four people, including a one-year-old boy, before someone carrying a concealed carry permit stopped him. Fox 19 reported that McCary was arguing with a […]
