When it comes to exposing scandals and corruption in the Obama administration, few journalists have been more fearless and dedicated than Katie Pavlich.

At just 24 years old, Pavlich is already a New York Times bestselling author and is the news editor for Townhall.com. Her book Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up provides a shocking glimpse into the government corruption involved in Operation Fast and Furious, a “gun-walking” program that resulted in the death of U.S. border agent Brian Terry.

A 2010 graduate of the University of Arizona, Pavlich recalls how standing up for her political beliefs would lead to constant arguments with liberal professors. Those exchanges became a key factor in her decision to become a conservative journalist.

Looking back, she humorously muses, “I got a benefit out of their indoctrination efforts.”

Although Pavlich is best known for her reporting on Fast and Furious, she said she sees the national debt as the biggest issue facing this generation.

“I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on,” she said. “Just the fact that the government in general is enslaving our young people to pay off a $15 trillion debt – that when you add in all the unpaid liabilities actually equals a $100 trillion dollars – is something that we are never going to be able to pay off.”

Pavlich said the best way for young conservatives to make a difference is to become journalists.

“It doesn’t have to be that you’re in conservative media, but just infiltrating these bigger bureaus and newspapers, even though they are dying.”
