Corie Whalen is not only a political activist herself, but she also advises several of the top conservative organizations in the nation – and she’s only 25 years-old.

For Whalen, political activism in college led to a career in politics. The political science and history major found her political voice in 2007 when she became an organizer for Texas Congressman Ron Paul’s presidential campaign.

She was also one of the founders of the Tea Party movement and helped organize the event that launched the Tea Party into the national spotlight – the December 2007 Boston Tea Party Freedom Rally in Boston, Massachusetts.

Since she graduated from Simmons College in 2009, Whalen has worked as a consultant for clients from conservative non-profits, including Health Care Compact Alliance, Young Americans for Liberty and the Coalition to Reduce Spending. She helps them improve their voter education programs and find ways to get college students active on their campuses.

And as if that wasn’t enough, she also volunteers on the side as the National Secretary for the Republican Liberty Caucus.

Whalen says that the best way for young people to find their calling in politics is just to get involved.

“Find the existing channels and get involved in your Republican Party,” she said. “You can change it by showing up. They really want you.”
