Rubio could win Hispanic vote for GOP in 2016, but would still lose to Clinton, poll says

A new poll reveals that if Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) runs for President in 2016, he could do something the GOP has been struggling to do for decades — win the Hispanic vote.

Despite that achievement, however, Rubio would still lose in a head-to-head matchup with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, The Washington Examiner reports. Clinton would win 46 percent of the votes, with Rubio only snagging 23 percent.

New poll finds that young Americans don’t know that ‘Roe’ deals with abortion

As we reflect on the 40th Anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Roe v. Wade, the fact that young Americans are unaware of the significance of the ruling – let alone, what it involves – is quite startling.

Pew Center poll released earlier this month found that only 44 percent of adults under the age of 30 know that Roe dealt with the issue of abortion rights. More disturbingly, one in three young adults believe that the case pertains to another issue, such as the death penalty, environmental protection or school desegregation. Overall, 62 percent of Americans could correctly identify Roe as a case dealing with abortion rights.

Poll: Americans with kids would feel safer with armed guards at their children’s schools

Despite the Left’s emotionally-charged outcry for harsher gun control in the wake of Sandy Hook, the majority of Americans with kids would actually feel safer putting their children in schools with armed guards — like in the plan purposed by the National Rifle Association (NRA).

A new Rasmussen Reports poll asked 1,000 American adults, “Would you feel safer if your child attended a school where no adults were allowed to own a gun or a school with an armed security guard?”

Fiscal cliff and medical issues aside, President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton each have something to celebrate at the end of 2012. The leaders were named ‘Most Admired Man of the Year’ and ‘Most Admired Woman of the Year,’ respectively, in a Gallup poll.
