Republican LGBT groups respond to Obama’s gay-marriage announcement

President Obama became the first president to endorse same sex marriage today.

In a ABC News exclusive interview with Obama that will air on Good Morning America Thursday morning teased by ABC this afternoon, Obama endorsed same-sex marriage.

Obama had never publicly expressed support for same sex marriage in the past three and a half years he has been in office. His support for same sex-marriage came after Joe Biden’s comments on Sunday morning’s Meet The Press, and a ban on same sex marriage in North Carolina during yesterday’s primary there

Sharpton uses child actors to bash Mitt Romney

Al Sharpton’s television show on MSNBC used child actors in a scripted video to criticize Mitt Romney.

The video was previewed by Sharpton saying, “It got us thinking how these GOP candidates really act like a bunch of little kids, who just can’t play nice together.”

Lugar loses GOP primary to Tea Party favorite Mourdock

Senator Richard Lugar, who served almost four decades as an Indiana Senator, was defeated for renomination in Tuesday’s Republican primary  by his Tea Party-backed opponent, Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock.

With 99 percent of the vote in, Lugar trailed Mourdock 60 percent to 40 percent.

Cardinal Newman Society petitions to remove Sebelius as Georgetown commencement speaker

The Cardinal Newman Society has drafted a petition with approximately 14,000 signatures so far, asking Georgetown University to remove Kathleen Sebelius from speaking at the universities diploma ceremony on May 18th.

Axelrod claims the whole country is going through an ‘evolution’ on same-sex marriage

Obama campaign communications director David Axelrod appeared on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight Monday night to talk about President Obama’s stance on same sex-marriage after Vice-president Joe Biden expressed his support for same sex marriage on Meet the Press Sunday.

Axelrod addressed Biden’s comments and tired to tie them to President Obama’s views by saying,“I think the policy Joe Biden is describing there, that is the president’s policy. He believes that couples, heterosexual couples, gay couples should have the same legal rights.”

Santorum’s late-night Romney endorsement

After presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum met in Pittsburgh on Friday for an hour long one-on-one meeting, many Republicans expected an endorsement to come right away.

Biden on Bin Laden: “I don’t know what Governor Romney would have done”

Vice President Joe Biden doubled down on his comments that Mitt Romney may not have ordered the the assassination of Osama Bin Laden Sunday on Meet The Press.

Biden continued to gloat about Obama’s part in the death of Osama bin Laden and alleged that the nation wouldn’t be as safe under a Romney presidency as it is under President Obama.

“I am absolutely guaranteed America’s position in the world in national security is stronger with President Obama having taken over,” Biden said.

Gingrich endorses Romney; says he earned the nomination “the hard way”

Former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich gave a more formal endorsement of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney Sunday morning on State of the Union.

Gingrich who officially dropped out of the race Wednesday has been widely criticized for his lack luster endorsement of Romney. When pressed, Gingrich said on State of the Union, “Look, this is not some magic show, you’re either going to get Barack Obama or you’re going to get Mitt Romney.”
