Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) hosted a lunchtime event at CPAC today titled Gore v. Bear. From its title, one would have thought that the event would feature a constructive debate on the merits of “global warming” and energy policy. Unfortunately, any attendees of the event expecting intelligent conversation were sorely disappointed.

“A City Upon A Hill”: worth seeing
Leaving the showing of “A City Upon A Hill: The Spirit of American Exceptionalism,” a woman remarked to me, “That was awesome! I wish they had shown it to the whole conference.” Indeed, the movie was well done and CPAC attendees would benefit from seeing it.
The film contained many valuable lessons about American history and the origins of American exceptionalism. It opens with an infamous quote of sorts by President Obama: “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism,” highlighting just how out of touch the president it with the true spirit of America.
Allen West Delivers More of the Same at CPAC
As a conservative, black Republican and former soldier, Congressman Allen West (R-FL) is here to set the record straight. In his speech to an enthusiastic crowd at CPAC, West invoked the greatness of America and conservatism’s status in the country.
Boehner’s Lackluster CPAC Speech
Speaker of the House John Boehner asked the attendees of CPAC to join him and congressional Republicans in a “pursuit of a better America.” In a relatively short speech which at times sounded like an autobiographical history lesson, Boehner detailed previous trials and triumphs of Republicans in Congress in years past. Boehner opened by painting… Read Article ›
Don’t be fooled, Brad Stine: Comedy is Still the Missing Link
It’s a wonder “Conservative Comedian” Brad Stine didn’t run out of air and fall face-first off the stage. After Rand Paul gave a rousing and well-received speech to a packed CPAC ballroom, Stine rolled out at one thousand degrees and never cooled down. “Hey! You can’t leave! I just got here! SIT DOWN!!!” Stine yelled…. Read Article ›

Boehner opened by painting a picture of what he called a “utopia.” It was a world in which the Keystone XL pipeline had been approved and was being constructed, preparations to drill for oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge were being made, and the prohibition of taxpayer-funded abortions had been codified into law.
Sen. Mitch McConnell CPAC speech
In a slightly more impassioned version of his usual monotone, Mitch McConnell addressed the mostly full ballroom at the Marriott Wardman Park for CPAC 2012. McConnell began by recognizing one of his colleagues who spoke at the podium a little earlier in the morning, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), calling him “one of the most inspiring… Read Article ›
