Who Would You Trust as Your Financial Advisor: Mitt Romney or Barack Obama?

As the November elections draw near, voters should ask themselves this important question: Who would I trust as my personal financial advisor: Mitt Romney or Barack Obama?

It is a simple, yet definitive question that addresses the single biggest issue on most voters’ minds: the economy.  And not the economy from a 10,000 feet up view of GDP, unemployment, and manufacturing figures… the economy as in “What’s in my bank account? Why am I still unable to find a job?  Can I afford my kid’s education?”

The fact is, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama have two very different approaches and track records when it comes to financial planning.

Obamacare Is The Glue That Binds Us

I’ll be the first to admit that a gut-wrenching feeling of defeat ran over me when I read that Obamacare was upheld by the Supreme Court.

Yes, Thursday, June 28th was a difficult day for conservatives and all liberty-loving Americans. While Obama may have won a decisive battle in his quest for socialized medicine, we must remember that the war is far from over.

In fact, the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Obamacare may be the glue that binds social and fiscal conservatives, right-leaning moderates, conservative Democrats, independents, and a powerful new ally of Catholic voters marginalized by Obama’s contraception mandate, into the formative force necessary to defeat Obama in November and repeal Obamacare.

Left-Handed and Better Than You

There is an exclusive club that exists in the world whose select members span across all borders, nationalities, races, and ethnicities.  Money and privilege will not gain you entrance into this club, nor will connections or circumstance.  Admittance comes from a higher power, and is woven selectively into certain human beings’ genetic code.

If the super hero club “Avengers” comes to mind, you’re not far off.  I’m speaking of course about the approximately 10% of the world’s population, including myself, who are fortunate enough to be left-handed.

Yes, contrary to what some terribly misguided folks will tell you, being left-handed sets you apart into an unique cadre of athletes, freethinkers, scientists, explorers, inventors, writers and world leaders.

Food Stamps & the Poverty Rate: Do They Reduce the Problem, Or Just Alleviate The Symptoms?

Last week the U.S. Department of Agriculture released a study which is already leaving proponents of President Obama’s welfare state reveling with progressive satisfaction.

As reported by The New York Times, the federal government’s food stamp program, officially known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, “reduced the poverty rate by nearly 8 percent in 2009, the most recent year included in the study.”

If taken at face value, this dubious assertion made by the Times would leave us to believe that welfare services and food stamp benefits actually reduce the rate of poverty in America.

Wisconsin GOP Sen Primary Heats Up Below Recall Radar

As the Republican presidential primary race grinds on, Wisconsin is the next important stop. A recent NBC News/Marist poll found that that Badger State voters are more focused on the sure-to-be-fiercely fought recall of Republican Gov. Scott Walker, than on Tuesday’s presidential primary. The recall primary is in May and the general election will be held in June.

But there’s yet another Wisconsin contest this year that is quietly heating up behind the scenes that could also garner national attention come November.

Last spring, Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl announced that he would not be seeking reelection in 2012, leaving his Senate seat vulnerable to a Republican pick up in a swing state. U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin of Madison – a liberal stronghold – has emerged as the likely Democratic nominee.

Since then, six candidates have joined the Wisconsin Republican Senate primary race in hopes of winning their party’s nomination on August 14th and defeating Baldwin in the general election on November 6th.

Al Sharpton: Race-baiting Opportunist of the Worst Sort

It is difficult to imagine what the family of 17-year old Treyvon Martin must be going through right now. As the media circus show goes on, and questions of mishandling by the police mount, a desire for retribution and justice must be coursing through their veins.

Unfortunately, this environment is offering the perfect opportunity for unscrupulous media figures to swoop in like vultures and draw attention to themselves as they piggy-back their own political agendas onto grief-stricken families and torn communities.
