House Republicans approve legislation to repeal Obamacare

The House passed legislation to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act today—also known as “Obamacare”—in a largely symbolic vote that went along party lines, but is not expected to get anywhere in the Senate.

The measure to repeal passed the House, 244-185.

No Republicans voted against repeal, and Democrats mostly voted along party lines, with 185 voting against repeal and 5 breaking party lines to vote for repeal.

American Crossroads: Obama’s War on Women

A video released by American Crossroads today alleges that the Democrats’ much-touted “War on Women” is indeed taking place, but not by Republicans. Instead, the video goes after President Barack Obama and the Obama economy, claiming that the President’s bad economic policies, not the GOP, are the reason women in American are suffering.

Romney Adresses NAACP; Booed On Repealing Obamacare Remark, Ends Speech With Standing Ovation

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was unsurprisingly booed today when he proposed as president, he would “eliminate every non-essential program,” including “Obamacare” at a speech given to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) today in Texas.

Romney received an icy reception at the NAACP, but was the first major political figure in this year’s election to address them—as Vice President Joe Biden will be speaking tomorrow.

Wasserman Schultz opponent accuses her of ‘hypocrisy’ on transparency

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair attended an event in Massachusetts yesterday calling on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release his tax returns.

Wasserman-Schultz joined the head of the Massachusetts Democratic Party in Boston, John Walsh, in order to discuss the former Massachusetts governor’s “history of fighting transparency,” according to the Weekly Standard.

Allen West condemns white liberals for chastising black conservatives

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) was on FOX’s Huckabee to put into context comments by the Los Angeles Times this weekend in an interview with former Arkansas governor and host Mike Huckabee.

West criticized “white liberals” who try to tell black conservatives to keep their mouth shut about the political issues of the day.

Ron Paul supporters not giving up despite apparent Romney win

Despite Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney locking up the party’s candidacy to run for president this fall, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) supporters are not giving up so quietly.

Romney clinched the Republican nomination with his primary win in Texas back in May—exceeding the 1,144 necessary delegates to win the Republican Party’s nomination.

CNN Fails To Question False Claims of Vanity Fair’s Romney Hit Piece Author

Rumors swirling around the web that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has somehow broke the law with his off shore bank accounts refuse to die. And when CNN failed to question the author of the Romney hit piece during an interview, they became guilty of spreading the same lies about Romney.

Despite no evidence of wrongdoing on Romney’s part, the perception that he is being less than honest about his wealth is still out there, thanks to a questionable hit piece written by Nicholas Shaxson, a British, pro- Occupy Wall Street writer for Vanity Fair magazine.

Democrats refuse to accept responsibility, blame Bush, Romney for the bad job numbers

Despite inheriting “a mess,” as President Barack Obama often likes to point out on the economy, Democrats appearing on the Sunday talk shows refused to accept that the current administration has failed to fix the economy.

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz sought to deflect attention away from reports showing how the economy is not rebounding, and that job creation is at its slowest pace in this quarter than it has been in two years, Sunday morning on FOX News Sunday.

Wasserman-Schultz sought to tie Mitt Romney to George W. Bush’s unpopular fiscal policies.

“Let’s go back to the failed policies of the past, let’s repeat the same playbook that got us into this economic mess, in the first place,” Wasserman Schultz said. “ Mitt Romney’s budget would actually make sure the most wealthy and fortunate get more and more tax breaks.”
