After President Trump tweeted a parody video of him beating up on the CNN logo, the media organization is fighting back… against the user who created that video.
On Tuesday, CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski tracked down and identified the Reddit user known as “HanAssholeSolo” and allegedly threatened to reveal his identity to the public (a.k.a. doxxing) if he continued to make more videos about the network.
“CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” Kaczynski wrote before the kicker. “CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.”
CNN is at the center of another story that questions their journalistic ethics and integrity one week after the network fired three of its employees for reporting a story about a Trump associate, Anthony Scaramucci, that turned out to be false.
All of this comes in light of North Korea announcing that it successfully tested intercontinental ballistic missiles that can supposedly hit Alaska, CNN seems to care more about its bruised ego than it does informing the public.
