Joss Whedon on Mother’s Day: I’m glad my mom died before Trump became president

Seriously, get some help, Joss. (AP Photo/Ahn Young-joon)

Only a few weeks after mocking cancer survivors to dig on President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan, Hollywood liberal and Avengers director Joss Whedon took to Twitter again to tell the world how much he hates the president.

Having not learned his previous lesson on why you should never tweet if you have nothing to say, Whedon decided to throw his own deceased mother into the mix to insult Trump on Mother’s Day of all days.

In other words, Whedon is glad his mother is no longer living because he doesn’t want her to live under Trump’s presidency. That’s not even evil. That’s just sad.

Anyone who is fortunate enough to have a positive relationship with their mother would certainly want them to be alive and spending more time with them regardless of who is in charge of the country. My mother isn’t a Trump fan, but that doesn’t mean I’m wishing she’d no longer be alive because he’s the president. It’s selfish behavior on Whedon’s part.

Luckily, Twitter users who came across this post knew just how much Whedon needs a hug.

Whatever you’re going through, Joss, we hope you find someone to help you. Politics isn’t worth losing your sanity over.
