Today marks the highest of high holy days for stoners around the world. With public opinion shifting in recent years to legalize marijuana, some states have loosened restrictions and laws barring marijuana possession and consumption.

In Minnesota, however, while medical marijuana use is allowed and possession has been decriminalized, recreational use of marijuana is still illegal. So, the cops are ready to lay down the law on any delinquents looking to get faded from good ol’ Mary Jane. And they’re having some fun with it too.

The Wyoming Police Department in Wyoming, MN posted on Twitter that they’ve set up elaborate traps around the city to catch pot(ential) offenders using bags of Cheetos and Doritos, sliders from White Castle, Mountain Dew, and video games. An officer is spotted behind a bench with a giant net.

They’ve clearly stepped up their operation since this is what they tweeted last year.

On Wednesday night, the WPD Twitter account tried to get clever and help anyone who doesn’t have enough drugs for the haziest day of the year.

WPD got serious after their tweets started gaining traction, posting, “All jokes aside, substance abuse is a real issue. We use tongue in cheek humor to bring attention to those issues.”
