Sean Spicer has been struggling as the White House Press Secretary in the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s presidency. However, help is on the way.
On Wednesday afternoon, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski crashed the White House briefing by asking Spicer, who was in the middle of addressing a reporter, if he needed a hand.
“Hey Sean,” Gronk said from the back room door. “Need some help?”
The White House Press Corps. burst out into laughter.
“I think I got this, but thank you,” a puzzled Spicer responded.
Gronk double-checked. “You sure?” He then went to the back room.
The New England Patriots are scheduled to appear at the White House for a ceremony honoring their epic Super Bowl win over the Atlanta Falcons in February where the team fought back from a 28-3 deficit to win in overtime.
Twitter immediately lit up as soon as Gronk emerged.

Gronk gave Sean Spicer the opportunity of a lifetime: to leave the room. Can't believe he turned it down.— Tom Hanslin (@tomhanslin) April 19, 2017
If you want to fend off a press corps asking hard questions, getting a Gronk cameo as the day’s clip—and not a Spicer evasion—is clever.— Yoni Appelbaum (@YAppelbaum) April 19, 2017
I'm going to say it. WH press briefings need more Gronk. In fact, Spicer should be on the Gronk cruise.— Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) April 19, 2017
