Speaker Paul Ryan was trying to give a poised, inspirational toast for St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, but the beer he was holding was pretty pathetic. The internet quickly dubbed it the “worst pint of Guinness imaginable.”
Irish writers were especially harsh to the Speaker, tweeting that they couldn’t even look at the pint. They even began comparing Speaker Ryan to former President Obama who used to drink Guinness. Some were even calling the whole incident #PintGate.

Don’t worry, Mr. Speaker, even though your pint was nothing to brag about, there’s always someone who has a worse beer than you.
