The Onion has been making fun of politics and the news since 1988. However, when it comes to the subject of Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopolous, the satirical paper decided to give up humor and just go into attack mode.
On Thursday, The Onion released a video entitled “The 5 Things You Need to Know about Milo Yiannopolous” where they decided to attack him without being funny.
“(He) became famous by violating the terms and conditions of a social media site’s user agreement,” was one of the facts listed. That’s not true, but also not funny. They also said he wasn’t the neo-nazi punched in the face on camera… yet.
Yiannopolous saw the video and even commented that it’s sad that the funny publication had become triggered by him and decided to act more like Buzzfeed than a satirical newspaper.
