Ted Cruz has been a human punching bag for the last few years during his time in the Senate and while running for president in the Republican primary.

Ever since the Texas Senator was maligned by then-candidate Donald Trump and went through a rough patch with his Republican colleagues, Cruz has been looking to patch things up. At first, Cruz forgave South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham’s joke about murdering him.

Now, according to Politico, Cruz is trying to put a weekly basketball game together with him and his colleagues in the Senate.

However, Ashley Feinberg of Deadspin needs proof, and wrote an article demanding photos or videos of Cruz.

Cruz responded on Twitter, and by God, I’d never thought I’d say this about Lyin’ Ted, but it’s incredible.

For those who don’t know, that’s Duke basketball player Grayson Allen, who is a carbon copy of Cruz. Stunned by his reply, Deadspin had to resort to some colorful NSFW language because they realize they’ve been owned.

Well, done, Ted. Well done, indeed.
