It’s nice to get an endorsement from a world class athlete, even if it has nothing to do with politics.
In a blog published on his website on Thursday entitled “My Goal Remains to Win,” Tiger Woods expressed his vision for his future in professional golfing, and highlighted his recent outing with President-elect Donald Trump.
“I recently played with President-elect Donald Trump,” Woods wrote. “What most impressed me was how far he hits the ball at 70 years old. He takes a pretty good lash.”
The 14-time PGA major champion continued. “Our discussion topics were wide-ranging; it was fun. We both enjoyed the bantering, bickering and needling. I also shared my vision for golf and what I’m trying to do. We didn’t have a match and played for fun. I was testing drivers and fairway woods, and changed some settings. I think he enjoyed seeing the difference in shots when you experiment.”
Woods, who’s been battling injuries over the last few years, may have got the winning bump he needs by golfing with Trump. Everything the President-elect has touched turns to gold.
And while black liberals were quick to give up Kanye West after he met with Trump, the reaction to Tiger praising Trump so far has been tepid at worst.
While most liberals and folks in the mainstream media are concerned about how unprecedented his presidency is, at least he’ll keep up the presidential tradition of hitting the links when he’s on vacation.
