Zachary Werrell is a political strategist and author. Zachary is best known for his role as the campaign manager (and one of two staffers at the end of the race) for Congressman Dave Brat when he defeated then-House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. This election marked the only time a sitting Majority Leader was defeated in a primary in American History, and this was done despite his campaign being outspent by estimates as large as 20:1.

He also successfully guided Congressman Tom Garrett through his nomination process and general election, again being outspent in both contests – and saw Tom Garrett receive the most votes ever by a candidate for that district’s seat. Both Congressman Dave Brat and Tom Garrett are highly visible and influential members of the House Freedom Caucus. He has also managed or advised a number of successful campaigns.

Zachary has also coauthored ‘How to Bag a RINO,’ a book that chronicled the Dave Brat campaign, and has had his articles published on FoxNews.com and countless other online publications. In his free time, Zachary likes to play his Fender Telecaster guitar, ride his motorcycle, and play fetch with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Beau.
