Katie Frates is a political editor based in Washington, D.C. In her three years in D.C., Katie has been a part of the leadership team that doubled The Daily Caller News Foundation’s size and scope. During her tenure, she was instrumental in the implementation of a fellowship training program for right-of-center journalists that has since doubled in size and editorial scope. In tandem with an investigative team, the Foundation frequently broke national news and spurred congressional action.

She is now the managing editor of Olympic Media and an editor at The Daily Caller, where she writes about a variety of topics with a focus on feminism. Her work has been featured in National Review, the New York Post and The Washington Times. She led national news by breaking the story about liberal Georgetown professor C. Christine Fair and her abuse and harassment of a Muslim woman who voted for President Donald Trump. Katie appears frequently on Fox News and Fox Business Network on shows like “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “Fox & Friends” and “Kennedy.” As a National Journalism Center alumna, Katie is part of a group of speakers that helps educate and guide NJC fellows on their journeys into politics. She graduated from Hillsdale College.
