Evan Draim currently works as an Employment Development Specialist for ServiceSource, a nonprofit that provides job placement and training services for veterans and people with disabilities. He also volunteers as Operations Chair for the Fairfax County Republican Committee, serves on the Board of Directors for the McLean Citizens Association, and serves as the 10th District Representative for the Young Republican Federation of Virginia.

Evan is a recent graduate of Princeton University where he served as President of his College Republican club for two terms, turning it into the largest chapter in New Jersey, and co-founded the Princeton Open Campus Coalition, a student organization dedicated to promoting free speech and open dialogue on campus. For his free speech advocacy, Evan – along with his fellow POCC co-founders – was named a “Top Ten Influencer in Higher Education” by the National Association of Scholars.

Evan is extremely passionate about bringing the conservative message to groups that may not traditionally vote Republican. In 2012, Evan was elected to represent his congressional district as a delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention, becoming the youngest in attendance at the age of 17. Through this position, Evan communicated to other young voters why they should support the Romney/Ryan ticket. As an openly gay Republican, Evan has advocated conservative principles to the LGBT community. He led the effort to have a contingent of young Republicans marching in the Capital Pride Parade this year and is the chairman of LGBT Virginians for Vogel – the first LGBT coalition supporting a Republican statewide candidate in Virginia.
