Run, Fight, Hide.
Those were the words issued by the Ohio State University emergency management & fire prevention service after an active shooter reportedly ran their car into Watts Hall, the university’s materials science and engineering building, and attempted to harm students on campus.
The university, which has over 65,000 students enrolled making it one of the largest in the country, issued a lockdown order for students, faculty, and staff to “shelter-in-place.”
According to law enforcement sources reported by the Columbus Dispatch, one person had a gun while the other had a knife. 10 people were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries and one of the suspects was killed by police. Law enforcement are still actively searching for a second suspect (although they believe there may have just been one suspect), and classes for the day have been canceled.
In addition to the OSU president Michael Drake commending law enforcement, there were some students and those close to Ohio State, who were grateful for the actions of police to secure the campus.
Thank you to all of the Columbus/Ohio State police, SWAT, and medical staff who put their lives at risk to save others.— Nasher (@TheNasher61) November 28, 2016
S/O to the outstanding effort of the Columbus & Ohio State police department. Secured a massive campus. #ThankTheMenInBlue— Chase Harrell (@Harrell64) November 28, 2016
However, liberals on campus were less than grateful for law enforcement and decided to focus on passing comprehensive gun control. Ohio State is a gun-free zone and students have to get special permission from university officials to carry a firearm.
This is where were are. Instead of common sense gun control, we get "run, hide, fight." https://t.co/b5tpDDauWc— Julie DiCaro (@JulieDiCaro) November 28, 2016
This is even more appropriate considering today's tragic events at Ohio State University. https://t.co/oyWWq5G0us— States United (@SUPGVNetwork) November 28, 2016
Hoping so very much that everyone is alright at Ohio State University, and that thoughtful gun control can be attained in this country.— Leon Lazaroff (@LeonLazaroff) November 28, 2016
For school shooting victims it's not too soon to discuss our nation's lax gun laws - it's too late— Shannon Watts (@shannonrwatts) November 28, 2016

Why is it so hard for liberals to connect the dots that you can’t stop an active shooter with anything but someone who’s well-trained with a firearm? They’re expecting that more laws and regulations will stop shootings such as Ohio State, but they just continue to exhibit how out of touch they are with the rest of America.
