Ever since the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry became the NBA MVP, he’s been getting some sweet perks.

One of those, the basketball star told Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday, was getting to play golf with President Obama. Or at least he thought it was a perk until he found out how “competitive” the president was.

“The president was talking trash,” Curry said.

Kimmel asked how people talk trash in golf.

“He was just trying to get in your head,” Curry explained, naming some examples.

It sounds like the president’s tough strategy worked because Curry and his dad, his partner for the match, lost to Obama on the 18th hole.

“It’s probably for the best though because you don’t want to get audited or something like that,” said Kimmel. “You don’t want to mess the president.”
