[WATCH] Fallon honors Mother’s Day with Hashtags on ‘The Tonight Show’

Jimmy Fallon debuted another segment of Hashtags on Thursday’s “The Tonight Show” that honored your mothers for all the hilarious, and sometimes cringeworthy, things they say.

“Since Mother’s Day is this Sunday, I went on Twitter and started a hashtag called #MomQuotes,” Fallon detailed. “I asked you guys to tweet out something funny, weird or embarrassing that your mom has said.”

According to Fallon, the topic was trending worldwide on Twitter within 20 minutes on Wednesday, which seems to be a frequent occurrence of his hashtag game.

“Gosh, we love our fans. We wouldn’t be here without them,” said the comedian, thanking his loyal viewers.

Then, Fallon read some of his favorite tweets. A few involved classic motherly mixups: one mom said “booty call” instead of “butt dial,” another swapped out “tweet” for “twerk” and one mother mistook the Android phone for a “D-rod.”

Perhaps the most embarrassing, though, was the mom who texted her husband, and one of her children accidentally, in a group message, “We can break in the new sheets.”

“The Tonight Show” host has made viewers laugh with Hashtags in previous episodes, one of which involved hilarious wedding moments.
