Jimmy Kimmel asked a Hollywood studio audience Tuesday night who among them has signed up for Obamacare, and no one raised a hand. Crickets.
If this sounds like a “Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?” moment to you, well …
“Really?” he asked, chortling, as a camera panned across the packed house during “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Everyone joined in the laughter. “Well, they claim that more than 3 million people have now signed up on the Healthcare.gov website — maybe they have, I dunno.”
The question led into a sketch about a fake, redundant government website to help customers navigate the Obamacare signup process — “Obamacare-care” — but the punchline line had already come unintentionally early.
“Whatever you think about universal health care, the whole thing definitely hasn’t been working as well as it should be,” Kimmel said, before segueing into the sketch (which was plenty funny).
