Out with the advertisements geared toward Christmas shoppers, in with the Super Bowl commercials: Doritos is once again giving filmmakers the chance to showcase their advertising skills with its “Crash the Super Bowl” contest, reports Mashable.
This year, Frito-Lay-owned Doritos has introduced five top submissions, of which two of which will snag the big prize: airtime during the Super Bowl on February 2. One winner will be chosen by fans and the other will be selected by the Doritos marketing team. In addition to having their ads aired during the football showdown, the winning filmmakers will also have the opportunity to work on the film “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which is scheduled for release next year.
There’s also hefty prize money in the mix for the contestants. The makers of the advertisement that garners the most votes will win $1 million, while the runner-up will receive $50,000. The three that come in last will still finish strong with $25,000 each in their pockets.
Voting closes on January 29, and fans can visit this site to vote for their favorite. Watch the submissions from the five finals below.
