Kimmel pranks Fashion Week fans

Jimmy KimmelJimmy Kimmel is at it again with his ‘Lie Witness News’, and this time, he’s humiliating fashion fandom’s finest.

In the segment, the funnyman has his crew of reporters interview attendees of New York’s Fashion Week to get the scoop on the hottest designers and trends. But Kimmel puts a spin on it: The reporters ask the “knowledgeable” fashion fans about designers that don’t exist and trends that were never sent down the runway.

When one reporter asks an attendee about designer “Purina Chow”, the man responds approvingly.

“I think it’s great,” he says. “The thing about Asian style is that it’s very unique.”

Other fake designers include Meadowlark Lemon, George Costanza and Eddie Munster.

Later on in the segment, Kimmel’s crew members ask their subjects about certain fake “controversial” trends designers have tried out. When one reporter produces a fake photo of a male runway model wearing a watermelon on his head, his interviewee quips, “It’s called fashion; look it up.”

Several fashion fans also express their thoughts on Christian Louboutin’s fantastical “uni-boot”, a single boot made to fit two feet that made its debut … never.
