Shots Fired, Multiple Victims at Santa Monica College

Santa Monica College logoNBC SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – Several people, including a person believe to be the gunman, have been injured in a shooting Friday at Santa Monica College.

Campus police at the college in Santa Monica, Calif. confirmed that there are multiple victims, but did not have details regarding their conditions. One person, believed to be the shooter, was shot and transported to a hospital, according to Santa Monica Police.

The school is on lockdown Friday afternoon. All schools in the Santa Monica area are on lockdown, according to the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.

A fundraiser at which President Barack Obama is in attendance is several blocks north of the campus.
