While the mainstream media eagerly anticipated the verdict in the Jodi Arias trial, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) railed against its inadequate coverage of two other prominent stories — the trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell and the Benghazi hearings.
The Congressman took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, just minutes before the Arias verdict was to be announced. He expressed his discontent by retweeting others who shared his opinion and tweeting that Arias herself probably wished she’d committed a crime the media was less likely to cover.
Right now Jodi Arias is regretting not killing an ambassador or Philadelphia infant.— Rep. Steve Stockman (@SteveWorks4You) May 8, 2013
Back in February, the Texas Republican also made waves by taking singer Ted Nugent to the State of the Union as his guest. He also set up an “Obama failometer” outside his Washington office, only to have it torn down the next day.
Guess Stockman is one member of Congress who’s not afraid to say what he thinks!
