NPR commentator implies Boston bombing was domestic terrorism from ‘right-wing individuals’

nprWhat do Hitler, the Oklahoma City bombing, Waco and Columbine all have in common? If you ask NPR correspondent Dina Temple-Raston, the answer is the month of April.

“April is a big month for anti-government and right-wing individuals,” Temple-Raston said on Tuesday’s episode of the NPR show “All Things Considered.”

The comments arose during a discussion about the potential suspects behind Monday’s Boston Marathon bombings. She argued that officials were leaning toward calling the bombings – which killed three and injured nearly 180 others – “a domestic, extremist attack” because of the timing.

For those of you not up on your history, the OKC bombing, Waco standoff and Columbine shootings all happened in April. Coincidentally, April is also the month of Hitler’s birthday.
