Actor Jay Mohr calls for repeal of Second Amendment following Boston Marathon bombings

Jay MohrAccording to actor Jay Mohr, the right to bear arms – as guaranteed to us in the Second Amendment – “lends itself to the CULTURE of violence we are living in.”

That’s what the “Jerry Maguire” actor said on Twitter yesterday, as he called for a repeal of the Second Amendment shortly after two bombs exploded at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring more than 150 others.

Mohr then clarified his original tweet minutes later, arguing that the Americans have become too desensitized to violence and that we’re too used to seeing violence on TV these days. Perhaps he’s familiar with the testimony given by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ to the House Ways and Means Committee last week, as she just she made that same claim!

Naturally, gun rights supporters weren’t too pleased with his comments. So much so that Mohr basically told them to f*!@ off:

At least he did finally admit that the Second Amendment wasn’t responsible for Monday’s bombings!
