HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius joins Twitter on eve of Obamacare’s anniversary

Kathleen SebeliusKathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Humans Services (HHS) has created her own Twitter account @Sebelius just in time for Obamacare’s third anniversary on Tuesday.

HHS has already established its presence on  Twitter @HHSGov, but this will be Sebelius’ personal account.

Sebelius  unsurprisingly retweeted both tweets from HHS and HHS’ Latino accounts welcoming its leader to the Twitterverse on Monday.

As of Monday evening, the two-term cabinet member had already gained nearly 2,500 followers but she still has a long way to go before she catches up to her own department’s Twitter following.

The former governor of Kansas has been charged with the execution of Obamacare, otherwise known as the Affordable Care Act, which not so coincidentally celebrates its third anniversary tomorrow. No doubt that most – if not all – of Sebelius’ tweets tomorrow will be about how great it is that businesses will soon have to provide health insurance to all their employees working over 30 hours (even if it means charging consumers more to make up the difference).
