Gov. Chris Christie has a message for the haters

Haters gonna hate, but New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is just going to keep doing his thing.

In a teaser video released prior to his State of the State address on Tuesday, Christie is already combatting some of the negative backlash that will undoubtedly come from his next budget proposal, to be unveiled during the address.

The video features audio of Christie talking about how legacy really depends on saving lives, instead of budget choices.

Christie is expected to announce whether or not he plans to expand the New Jersey Medicaid program, something that will create waves no matter his decision. The Governor is also expected to address the funds still needed to help the state recover from Hurricane Sandy, as well as ways to ease the pain for towns hit hardest financially.

Wall Street is also watching Christie’s address closely, and if the Governor doesn’t tread carefully, his budget choices could lead to a downgrade in the state’s credit rating.

The address will take place at 3 p.m. EST on Tuesday, and viewers can stream it live online.
