Oops! Joe Biden says he’s “proud to be President”

Vice President Joe Biden got a big job promotion — at least according to him, that is.

Our favorite gaffe-tastic politician is back in action, this time mistakenly saying he holds a higher office than he actually does.

“I’m proud to be President of the United States,” Biden said while speaking at the Iowa State Society inauguration ball on Saturday. “But I am prouder to be Barack Obama’s — excuse me.”

The room erupted in laughter and someone on stage with the Vice President stepped forward to correct him. Biden then rectified his mistake.

“I’m proud to be Vice President of the United States,” he said, “and I’m prouder to be Barack Obama — President Barack Obama’s Vice President.”

The Vice President laughed good-naturedly as the crowd continued to chuckle.

“Well, there goes that,” he said. ”Look, on a serious note — I guess I’m lucky to get back to a serious note.”

And while Biden is still just the Vice President now, this man might actually make a run at the White House in 2016.

It’s sad when you have to pray for the good health of a president who’s agenda you despise just because there’s a retard waiting to take over if something happened to him.
