Piers Morgan calls for gay marriage amendment to the Bible

CNN‘s Piers Morgan wasn’t content with angering American gun enthusiasts — now he’s trying to alienate Bible-believing Christians worldwide.

And on Christmas Eve, no less!

On Monday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Tonight,” the British host called for a ‘gay marriage amendment’ to the Bible.

“My point to you about gay rights, for example, it’s time for an amendment to the Bible,” Morgan told his guest, Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church.

“Not a chance,” Warren responded.

Morgan compared the Bible to the U.S. Constitution, saying the original document should be changed when it no longer suits the times. He called both works “inherently flawed.”

Morgan’s comments sparked outrage on Twitter, with individuals asking who the host thinks he is to ‘amend’ the Bible.

In recent days, the controversial Brit has faced criticism for his perceived attack on the Constitution.

And following his latest rant, it seems that no written work is safe from Morgan.

Does any human expect different? He’s one of the Godless which means he’s soulless and less than fully human. One cannot expect proper human behavior from things like Morgan anymore than they can expect it from other forms of vermin.

As a side note, the solution for both is the same.

    1. Ernest says:

All this so perverted sodomites can feel better about their sin? No way. Using one’s bodily waste system for sex brings disease and perversion. Gays like 20 years less than normal people and one in 5 gay men has HIV right now. I think God is definitely right on the matter.

      1. MaryL says:

This fool just got caught in the British phone-tapping scandal. What an ignorant ass. Suck up to these filthy gays all you want, but leave our Bible alone. Homosexuality is a filthy perversion, so matter how the gays and their supporters try to spin it.

    2. Catch says:

What a foolish nutjob. Amend the Bible…. that’s beyond ridiculous.

  2. Melissa says:

What a COOL guy….. lmao. Thanks, Piers! You take a lot of heat for some things, but some of us DO appreciate it. Thanks for being one of the few people on television who TELLS IT LIKE IT IS. Amend the Bible? Trash it, actually. Tired of these moralistic morons.

  3. Harry says:

Piers Morgan happens to be right. It’s not as if the bible hasn’t been changed and edited before. It’s the furthest thing from unedited material. The fact that Warren shot back “Not a chance” only tells me he’s a bigot who likes having the bible to back up his homophobia. Nature put gay people here, not mankind. It’s hubris for humans to think they can trump nature. After all, the bible was written by men.

  4. LavanderMist says:

Looking forward to the Supreme annihilation of proposition 8! Happy days are on the horizon!

  5. Bill Plowman says:

Amendment to the bible…. ummm. Whom might we call upon for such an amendment Mr. Morgan? Yourself, President Obama, Gay Rights Activist, The Lutheran Church. And even if we did place an amendment in the bible it still will not be sanctioned by god.

We can do all that we want to make ourselves feel good about our own beliefs, wants, wishes, and what we deem acceptable. But, that still doesn’t make it right in the sight of god. So if you want to make a translation of the Bible and cal it the NWGT – New World Gay Translation that would be find and dandy. After all we live in America – and that is your to do so.

However, if you spent just the inkling of time and actually studied Christian Theology you would know that only a Prophet of God could make such an amendment…. God has always spoken through his Prophets and Apostles – these are the men who wrote the books we find in there today. Not some elected heresayer who thinks he knows best…. I would love to have a 10 min conversation with you and watch you trip all the way back down too London Street…..

And with any nation, country, or civilization there destruction came about when the moral fabric society started to decay away. The basic building block of society (which is the family unit) was changed, altered, and destroyed. Principles of light and truth were substituted out with premises of tolerance for all, its ok to do as you please, eat drink and be merry, and there is no sin in unrestrained sex or participating in same sex relations. All is fine – so long as you don’t hurt another.

These are lies which creep into nations and likewise brought about their destruction and desolation. Take a 20 minute crash course on destruction of ancient civilizations and at their core you will see the same problems which existed then thriving once again in our time. So if its social justice, equality with out consequences, and the notion of sin turned upside down so that there is no sin (for this is what you preach) then that is what you shall have. And all though your fruits will last for a season they shall be turned upside down as the potters clay – and the inhabitants of this world shall reap the destruction in they have sewed.

I don’t know who you are. But you said my mind Spot on. Morgan is a low life. Looking for publicity thru controversy.

    3. okoli seun says:

GOD destroyed Sodom nd Gomorrah in the Bible cos of homosexuality. Marriage is btwn a man and a woman. The Holy Bible is GOD’s word and it surpasses all human understanding. The Bible can never be outdated or editted. God is the same yesterday, Today and forever. Piers is just looking for cheap publicity from controvercial topics.

  6. Rexford L says:

I guess that Mr. Morgan doesn’t read the bible..

    Revelation Chapter 22, verse 18 and 19..

22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

22: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    1. abc says:

amen to that…the bibles words are never meant to be changed…anyone who thinks otherwise is a direct fulfillment of what God said would happen, when people look towards the world to cement their uncertain beliefs and provide false reassurance. true christians must look towards the bible.
      God bless

    2. gent says:

Truly dis young FOOL is practically a first hanf variety of a LUNATIC who think popularity can be achieved by fighting against GOD.

  7. Mark says:

Love how all these self-appointed spokespeople for God come out of the woodwork to tell us his will. Does God tell you personally how opposed he is to gay marriage? If so, go see a shrink.

So much for small-govenrment conservatives. Ironic.

  8. Petra says:

Why would any written word be safe from Morgan or anyone else? I thought freedom of speech meant you’re allowed to give your opinion. Even on the Bible and certainly on the Constitution. Personally I wouldn’t mind some amendments to the Bible, though I don’t expect it ever to happen. And nor does Piers Morgan, of course. But it wouldn’t hurt anyone, christian or otherwise, to realise the Bible reflects the times in which it was composed. Yes, in that respect I think it – like the U.S. Constitution – is severely outdated. Morgan just wants people to think about these issues.
Any many things that are bad for people according to the Bible aren’t minded today by most people anyway. For example”‘But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to regard as unclean.’ (Leviticus 11). Being a lover of seefood (as are quite a lot of the devout christians I know) I suggest we compose an amendment for that, as well.

    1. Joseph E. Ford says:

Petra, I say this out of love and not hate. Read the Bible thoroughlyand completely before making comments about changing the scripture. If you continue reading in the New Testament you will see where it is written that what God blesses, man cannot call unclean. When we pray before a meal and ask God to bless the food, it is therefore clean. The one thing that we are not to eat or drinlk is blood, because it is a source of life. In Asia they take the blood of ducks and other animals and gel it so that it is eaten as an appetizer, which is an abomination to the Lord. I ask that you continue reading the Bible and develop an in-depth “yearn to learn” that Jesus did provide some change to the old laws given to Moses within His New Convenant at the Lord’s Supper.

      1. Ed G says:

C’mon…most of the first half of the bible is a fairy tale anyway and it’s been amended so many times that adding a little spice to the story won’t hurt anyone.

  9. Pablo says:

He’s allowed his opinion and I agree with him. Both documents are terribly flawed.. Written by people who had no capability of predicting the future because what applied back then, simply does not apply to the now. Things work different now. There’s different levels of progress that both publications had at its time that simply cannot apply to today’s society. We have different necessities now.
Piers probably misspoke because the bible is a done deal, unlike the ongoing work of the constitution, but nonetheless he is right about its applicability. You are only criticizing him because of your religious beliefs. This is supposed to be a “young conservatives” site, not an angry borderline religious rant

  10. Nigel says:

The scripture speaks of a people in the last days, “…thinking themselves to be wise, have become foolish… ” The scripture says, ” The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.” Piers is a mere mortal man…. he displays both ignorance and arrogance when he thinks the bin le should be ammended. GOD gave us ten commandments not ten suggestions!

  11. Joseph E. Ford says:

It is written in several books of the Bible, in the Old Testament and the NewTestament that the scripture written in the Bible is not to be added to, nor taken away from (Deuteromeny, Proverbs, & Revelation) The Bible is the Holy Word of God and it is the responsibility of each individual to read it for themselves and make up their own mind if they believe, or do not believe, what is wrtten. On Judgement Day each one of us will be judged on our own accord, not for what someone did to us, what they told us, nor how we were raised in life. I cannot judge Piers Morgan for his comments, only pray that he will read the scripture and understand why we cannot change God’s Holy Word to fit our lives, we must change our lives to fit His Holy Word.

  12. Gord says:

Way to go Piers. You are the best. Pay no attention to the mindless drones that are attempting to criticize you.

  13. Dee Jay says:

“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginatins, and their foolish heart was darken. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:21-22)

  14. Fred Shackel says:

The last thing anybody should be doing is losing one second of sleep over this kind of loser. Did you even know who he was until Alex Jones was a guest? CNN was nothing until the Gulf War. Now they’re nothing again, the National Enquirer of television news. Without your attention, this whining fool will be on the street, unless somebody’s looking for another Jerry Springer show. I’d like to see Piers on Aljazeera tv, whining about the same drivel. What would happen after that presentation? Now that would be entertainment.
