Bankrupting America is reaching new heights this weekend by launching a new air war on wasteful spending and the ever rising national debt.
The organization will be flying planes above major football games, Game 3 of the World Series in Ohio, Mitt Romney rallies, Paul Ryan rallies, Barack Obama rallies and Joe Biden rallies this weekend featuring messages like: ”SKY HIGH DEBT IS BANKRUPTINGAMERICA.ORG.”
And: “NAT’L DEBT = $16 TRILLION. NO BULLS###!” referring to President Obama’s comment in Rolling Stone magazine that Republican candidate Mitt Romney a “Bulls####r.”
The group, a project of Public Notice, is focusing their efforts on swing states, specifically Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, New Hampshire and Colorado, in order to raise awareness about the national debt ahead of the election.
“For the first time in recent memory, Americans are connecting the health of our economy and their own pocketbooks to the national debt, and they recognize that wasteful spending in Washington is to blame,” Gretchen Hamel, executive director of Public Notice, said in a press release. “Our banners intend to keep the $16 trillion national debt at the top of Americans’ minds. No one wants to hear more slick rhetoric or negative ads; it’s time to tell it like it is. Washington’s spending habit is bankrupting our future, and it needs to stop now.”
The campaign will last October 27-29 and will reach 14 nationally televised sporting events and political rallies.
Public Notice is not a partisan organization that advocates for political parties to work together to put an end to the unparalleled government spending.
The group also has a billboard campaign running that was launched earlier this year with 48 billboards across 10 states that plea for Washington to “stop digging” us further into the debt hole.
