President Obama gets ID’d while early voting in Chicago

President Barack Obama was the victim of a racist scheme to stop the first African American President from voting for himself in Chicago yesterday. Upon arriving at his local polling place to early vote, the President was asked by an election official to see his ID before receiving his ballot.

Granted, the election official was black and she was just following Illinois law, which requires Illinoians wishing to take advantage of early voting, including the President, to show ID. But don’t they know he is? He’s the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. How DARE they ask him for ID! RACISM!

Just kidding.

Anyone who saw the video can see for themselves that none of those things are true. The President was procedurally asked for his ID, which he provided in good nature, telling the poll worker, “Now ignore the fact that there’s no gray hair in that picture.”

After Obama was done voting the poll worker took an extra long look at Obama’s driver’s license just for kicks.

See, now that wasn’t so dreadful after all, was it?
