VIDEO: The Gregory Brothers auto-tune the VP debate
Tired of hearing about the vice presidential debate already? Don’t tune it out just yet.
Auto-tuning geniuses The Gregory Brothers are out with a songified version of Thursday night’s vice presidential debate that is sure to bring a smile to your face.
Sarah Gregory (Evan Gregory’s wife) stars in the catchy video as the debate moderator in place of actual debate moderator Martha Raddatz and asks the candidates about their views on the issues, including the possibility of global piece. The video plays off of popular lines from the VP debate, including Vice President Biden’s exclamation that, “This is a bunch of stuff,” and Ryan’s assertion that Obama promised hope and change but turned his campaign into “attack, blame and defame,” to create a foot-tapping chorus.
While the auto-tune itself is enjoyable to listen, the best parts of the video are the candidate’s dance interludes.
The Gregory Brothers are best know for their “Auto-Tune the News” YouTube series. Their 2011 video on Charlie Sheen’s mental breakdown – “Winning” - garnered an astounding 45 million views on YouTube.
The Biden-Ryan video marks the group’s third 2012 general election music video. Previously the Gregory Brothers created auto-tuned videos for the Republican and Democratic National Convention and the first presidential debate.
According to the group’s website they are currently working on a pilot for Comedy Central. Or as Charlie Sheen would say, they’re busy “winning.”
