The CBS casting department encourages people interested in specific industries to apply to “The Job.” Some of the available “positions” include “Editorial Assistant for a leading women’s lifestyle magazine,” “Assistant Manager for a major fine dining restaurant,” “Associate Game Designer for popular gaming company,” and “Guest Relations Coordinator for a major cruise line,” among others.
As the website details, you can “check the ‘Open Call’ page to see if there is an Open Call Casting in a city near you.” Those applying to “The Job” must submissions in by October 31, 2012.

Apparently, its up to CBS and not Obama’s economy to give underemployed, or unemployed, Americans a shot at their dream job. While CBS’s goal of finding employment for contestants is noble, it’s sad that a network has the opportunity to capitalize upon the unfortunate reality that millions of Americans face in this recession.
