Joe Biden laughs his way through VP debate

*UPDATE: The RNC produced an ad displaying Biden’s smirky countenance and it is embedded in the piece below.
Vice President Joe Biden apparently thought Thursday’s vice presidential debate was one giant joke.
From the get-go, Biden’s demeanor was one of laughter, smirking and interruption. Frequently, during GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan’s answers, the split-screen MSNBC coverage showed Biden chuckling and shaking his head.

At one point, when Ryan was talking about unemployment, Biden interrupted him to contradict and moderator Martha Raddatz had to remind the vice president, “It’s [Ryan’s] two-minute answer.”

If Democrats were embarrassed by President Obama’s awkward showing last week, they must be crying themselves to sleep tonight. Obama spent much of the debate looking down, but Biden just sniggered his way through Thursday’s debate.

Biden hasn’t done a TV interview in five months, and it shows. Perhaps Biden should have brushed up his TV appearance skills before tonight’s debate.

The RNC immediately turned around a web ad that showcased Vice President Biden’s inappropriate laughter during the debate, including a toothy grin while Ryan discussed slow job growth under the current administration. The ad “Laughing at the Issues” shows a split screen of Biden cutting up and then asks “Vice President Biden is laughing… are you?”
