Obama campaign looks to First Dog Bo Obama to woo Americans

With Big Bird out of the picture, the Obama campaign is relying on a new cuddly creature to win over Americans’ hearts and minds: The First Dog Bo.

Late this afternoon the Obama campaign uploaded a “Happy Birthday Bo Obama” video to its YouTube that features Barack and Michelle Obama. Ironically not about the First Dog’s fourth birthday at all and shows almost the same amount of footage of Barack and Michelle talking as it does the First Dog.

In the heartwarming video the first couple talks about how the first dog generally only listens to the President because he is intimidated by his “booming voice” and how compassionate the President is for letting Bo climb on the couch.

The video is clearly an attempt to make the First Family look more down to earth and help them connect to the middle class Americans Obama is targeting with his reelection efforts.

While not as bizarre as the Obama campaign’s Mother’s Day and Father’s Day schemes, the video is certainly a slick way for Obama to reel back in supporters after last week’s debate disaster.

Obama breeds and buys while shelter pets die. Don’t rub Bo in our faces, he is just another example of how you disappointed your supporters. This year–I will take my pets to the park instead of voting. Hillary 2016.

AWWWWWWWWWWW He’s so precious! Love ya, Bo!
