Afraid your candidate won’t win in November? Have no fear because you could win a free flight out of the country from JetBlue with their Election Protection 2012 program.
In their “Live Free or Fly” campaign, JetBlue asks Americans to select their political affiliation in a special poll and then choose their ideal destination outside of the United States in case their candidate doesn’t win.
They will be giving out 1,006 round trip certificates or 2012 free seats total for the losing party.
The top destinations for Republicans are the Bahamas and the Grand Cayman Islands while the Democrats prefer St. Maarten, Turks and Caicos and Costa Rica.
Other destinations include Aruba, Barbados, St. Lucia, Mexico and Colombia.
So if things don’t go your way on November 6, “don’t worry,” the promotion reads. “Here’s your chance to get a free flight out of the country with Jetblue. And remember if you change your mind you can always come back. Or not. It’s a free country.”
With only 34 days to go till election day, the JetBlue polls stand at 57 percent for incumbent President Barack Obama, 43 percent for Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
They also add that if you want true election protection you should vote for real in November, but that’s not to say that JetBlue’s offer won’t come in handy.
Pop star Lady Gaga has already declared she is leaving the planet if Obama doesn’t win the election, maybe JetBlue can talk her into a nice vacation in the Caribbean instead.
