Democrats think Obama Needs Pat on the Back from Supporters before first Debate

Apparently wittle Bawwy needs some encouraging words before his big debate tomorrow night against that evil villain Mitt Romney. Yes, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has sent out an email to supporters this morning, asking them to sign a message titled “Go Get ‘Em Barack” nearly 24 hours before he takes the stage in the first presidential debate of this election season.

“It’s a big moment, and you can be sure Mitt’s going to try to throw a few ‘zingers’ at President Obama,” the email reads. “Well, we have a message of our own for the President: Go Get ‘Em Barack!”

There is then a link where you can “add your name here to let Barack know that you’re rooting for him tomorrow night.”

This email only adds to the perception that our Commander-in-Chief is a little thin-skinned and needs all the reassurance he can get. After all, he did tell a campaign volunteer in Las Vegas yesterday that debate prep can be “a drag.”

Whether President Obama is truly thin-skinned or simply nervous and under-prepared for this debate is anyone’s guess but it’s sad and a bit comical to think a few “zingers” from his political rival is enough to have Democrats preempting these disheartening one-liners with a feel-good support letter.
