In the midst of the Democratic National Convention, Mitt Romney may have received an unexpected endorsement from none other than hip hop queen Nicki Minaj.
In a Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape, Minaj raps over Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music’s “Mercy”:
“I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney
You lazy b*****s are f**king up the economy.”
Although the endorsement appears to be genuine, Minaj isn’t exactly a serious pundit. Gawker, for one is skeptical, asking, “How do we know Nicki Minaj isn’t just being ironic?”
If Minaj is sincere, she’ll join the ranks of fellow musical artists Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, and Gene Simmons who have shifted to the Right this election season.
