[Video] New Obama ad hits Ryan for pro-life views

The Obama campaign is out with a new ad titled  the “Same” going after Paul Ryan’s pro-life stances – the first since Ryan was announced as being Mitt Romney’s running mate a week ago.

The ad hits Ryan for wanting to eliminate federal funding for Planned Parenthood, while ignoring the numerous documented cases of fraud and abuse connected with the organization.

It also suggests that Ryan favors doing away with birth control because of his opposition to the HHS Mandate that requires employers to provide contraceptive, abortion-inducing drugs and sterilizations in their health plans without a co-pay even if they object on religious grounds.

The ad also continues the canard that Romney and Ryan favor banning abortions even in cases of rape and incest, despite the fact left-leaning fact-checking website Politifact gave the assertion a “Pants on Fire” rating the last time the Obama campaign hit Romney on abortion.

“The Obama campaign provides virtually nothing to back that up, however. It has no evidence that Romney explicitly opposed the exception for rape and incest,” Politifact wrote in response to the Obama campaign’s last ad at the end of July suggesting Romney opposes abortions even in cases of rape and incest. “While he supported the ‘human life amendment, there are many versions and the most recent ones allow abortion after rape or incest. And it’s worth noting that in 2011, Romney declared that has said he supports those exceptions.

“In its effort to appeal to women, the Obama campaign has twisted Romney’s position to a ridiculous degree. We rate the claim Pants on Fire.”

And according to OnTheIssues.com, Ryan voted for the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortions Act in May 2011, which included an exception for rape and incest.

A major mantra of the left, if you say over and over it becomes truth. The Dems are banking on that fact. They will take something they think is working and continue to beat it into the ground even though it has been proven wrong. The really crappy thing here is that the press who would normally debunk these ads cover the President’s ass even though it’s a lie. What does that tell you about liberals?
