In a pathetic campaign email from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), Al Gore plays on the fears of an extreme Right wing “fringe” coming into power and makes a desperate plea for campaign contributions.
Using the same scare tactics that the Democratic Party has grow to love, Gore warns that efforts must be made to stop the Republican Party in the coming elections.
“The last thing we want is the Republican Party, a party that’s been hijacked by an extremist fringe, to win the White House and tighten it’s grip on Congress,” writes Gore. “That would spell disaster for our economy and our environment.”
In an effort to smear those who have been financially successful, the former vice-president and infamous global warming crusader also recycled the “blame Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers tactic,” in a push to recruit donors.
“Karl Rove and the ultra-conservative Koch brothers are pouring millions of dollars into this campaign,” warns Gore in the email. “Democrats are depending on the individual support we get from people like you.”
Aside from being pathetically frantic, Gore’s email indicates that people are finally realizing the dismal status of the American economy, and choosing to support candidates who are ready to work at getting the economy back on track.
