A new poll shows President Obama gaining among Jewish voters on the eve of GOP candidate Mitt Romney’s visit to Israel, but still well below his support in the 2008 election.
A Gallup poll finds Jewish registered voters supporting the president by 68 percent to 25 for Romney.
The numbers represent a slip for Romney from a June Gallup poll which found him at 29 percent to Obama’s 64 percent support among Jewish voters.

Unfortunately this last generation of Jews has lost sight of their Jewish heritage. Instead of being content to simply be a part of mainstreet America, they have adopted more radical ideologies about their place in American life. Many of these new generation Jews are removed from the previous generations where being a Jew meant discrimination and being despised. There is only one place in this world that Jews are accepted…Israel. For a Jew to turn their back on Israel is cutting their nose off in spite of their face. But I digress.
Obviously the discrimination Jews have endured has molded their political leanings. Furthermore they identified with other minorities who have been discriminated. We see many Jews who are leaders in the Democratic Party, and have become leading advisors. However, these leaders have become enveloped into the extreme left. What does that mean? It means they have adopted attitudes of the extreme left like the demise of Israel. It’s almost like each generation has gotten further and further from the traditions and identification of being a Jew. The upshoot becomes apparent in their apathy about Israel, and their support of ideological viewpoint against it.
To wind up my discussion, I would like to say that this president is no friend of Israel no matter how much he claims. His actions like suggesting that Israel go back to ’47 boundaries and his obvious distaste for the leaders speak much louder. For a Jew to not recognize this president’s reluctance to support Israel should be enough not to re-elect him. Once Israel is gone, a Jew will have no where to go.
