Obama Campaign Capitalizes On Beyoncé Endorsement In New Email to Supporters

The Obama Campaign circulated an email to supporters yesterday, making good use of the enthusiastic support given the president by pop star, Beyoncé. Beyoncé’s email contains a link to a video the singer made praising the First Lady and at the end of the email, she asks readers to join her “in adding your name to Young Americans for Obama to support her and President Obama in this election.”

The email echoes the video, as she once again declares, “I’m proud that my daughter will grow up in a world where she has people like the First Lady to look up to.”

The video that the email links to shows Beyoncé in awe of the First Lady for her success as a nurturing mother and wife, her encouragement of healthy living, and her support of veterans. It features clips of Michelle Obama delivering speeches and spending time with her family as Beyoncé reads from her letter.

The Obama Campaign has certainly not been shy about its use of celebrities to fundraise. Other vocal celebrity supporters include pop singer Katy Perry, actress Sarah Jessica Parker, and editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour.
