Young America’s Foundation releases trailer for upcoming film, “The Conservatives”

The Young America’s Foundation (YAF) released a trailer Wednesday for it’s upcoming film, The Conservatives—a movie intended to combat political activism on college campuses by the Left.

“Conservative defenders of freedom must rally to the call on college campuses and boldly champion their positive, winning ideas. The Conservatives will help them to do just that,” YAF Vice President and The Conservatives Executive Producer Kate Obenshain wrote in a guest piece on Breitbart News’ Big Government announcing the release of the trailer.

In the film YAF argues the classroom is where President Barack Obama and many the bureaucrats in his administration were taught about the redistributionist policies they are attempting to put in place in America today.

America’s classrooms “are training grounds for class warfare,” YAF spokesman Ron Meyer told Red Alert Politics. With The Conservatives YAF hopes to reach a new generation of people who typically do not learn about conservatism in their classrooms.

Much of the project lays out the case for free market capitalism, and combats President Obama’s class warfare rhetoric.  The trailer features conservative celebrities Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, Jonah Goldberg, Monica Crowley, Ph.D., Dr. Walter Williams, Stephen Moore and Peter Schweizer, who are among the heavy hitters involved with the YAF project.

“[Capitalism] is the only system that creates wealth for the most people.  No other system can.  No other system will,” Levin says in the trailer, adding that everything he learned in college was “dead wrong.”

“The free market is morally superior, because they acknowledge private property that is peaceable voluntary exchange,” says Williams.

The film, which was directed by Stephen K. Bannon (The Undefeated, Occupy Unmasked), will be released on August 1 at YAF’s annual National Conservative Student Conference in Washington, D.C.
