Minimum Donation For Barack‘s Birthday Party Contest Increases By 800 Percent

The Obama campaign has apparently decided that Barack’s 51st Birthday Party presents a special opportunity to shake donors for more cash, which is why they appear to have upped the minimum donation to get in.

The Obama campaign has a tradition of pawning dinner with Barry as a prize for a campaign donor who is lucky enough to be selected, providing he or she contributes money toward his campaign.

Here’s the first email, with the $3 donation request from the First Lady:

However, the latest campaign email, drafted by President Obama himself, appears to be upping the ante on a chance to attend Barack’s birthday party.

Here is the email that appeared in supporters’ inboxes this morning:

Pitch in $25? What happened to the $3? That’s a more than 800 percent increase since the campaign’s last couple of emails. Considering his recent poll numbers, Barry’s got a lot of nerve trying to hustle the campaign, and his supporters, for larger donations.

UPDATE: As Red Alert Politics was publishing this article, Barack Obama sent another campaign email, with the birthday contest entry price reduced back to $3. We presume the $25 donation requirement was a little too steep for the average Obama supporter, what with unemployment at 8.2 percent and all.
