CHICAGO — Rick Santorum might no longer be an active candidate for the presidency, but he is not backing down from his conviction that this presidential election is the most vital in American history.
Santorum announced he is launching Patriot Voices, a new conservative group, aimed at getting Americans “who don’t have a voice” energized to resist the political left.
“This is not the time just to stand back,” Santorum said. “Make a difference.”
The former Senator told participants at CPAC Chicago that Scott Walker’s election makes him feel more confident in Republican chances of beating Barack Obama.
“This election’s about whether we have leaders who will tell us the truth,” Santorum said. “Well, we got a great shot in the arm from Gov. Walker and his courage to stand up and face the problems.
“He told the truth and did what he said he would in spite of the attacks… I think people are looking for leaders to be honest with them.”
The stakes couldn’t be higher for the nation in Santorum’s opinion because Obama would be able to succeed in “fundamentally transforming America” should he get a second term.
Santorum slammed Obama for burdening the country with “crushing debt” and what he sees as the current administration’s shirking away from its responsibilities in the world.
“We are engaged in an ideological war here in America,” Santorum said. “We have a president who is an admitted advocate of transforming America at its very foundation.”
He returned to a familiar theme noting that Obama and the American left prefer to follow the ideology of the French Revolution that suggests people get their rights from government, unlike the American Revolution, which says rights come from God.

All men were not created equal, nor were they born equal or raised equal. We lost the presence of God because we believed in a lie from a stranger.
Thank you Rick Santorum for continuing to try to save this great country. Your honesty and integrity have impressed me more than I can tell you. There is a GREAT need for you and your kind in Washington and I look forward to seeng you there with great force and great suport. I , for one will be behnd you all the way. any “group” is an improvement on the democrats!
Where do I join up!
I’m so proud to be one of the first members of Patriot Voices! I had the honor of meeting Rick Santorum in OH and he spoke for an hour from the heart – no notes, no teleprompter. We need more Rick Santorums in America and I pray that some of the other Conservatives do what they can to get America out of the progressives’ grip and back to her Constitutional roots! We are ONE NATION UNDER GOD and I hope we return to a nation with morals in my lifetime!
Thank you Senator Santorum, for taking your time to help America the way you are. I hope there is a rally in DC this summer/fall so we can show them WE ARE MANY!! The TEA Party has gone no where and we want our country back!
I REALLY wish we were voting for President Santorum in November. I’m so tired of the establishment picking our candidates. We need a STRONG Conservative in our White House. I will vote Romney, AGAINST OBAMA, but wish I was GLADLY, PROUDLY voting Santorum!
Congratulations on Bella’s fourth birthday. I saw the picture of her in front of the door with the crown of flowers on her head. What a beautiful gift from God! All children are – it’s so sad that liberals don’t see the importance of human life.
God Bless you and your family!
Rights come from agreements of the people governed or ungoverned.
It’s not God’s provence to manage our affairs vis a vis Free Will.
Rick, I admire you for your family values, religious values, sincerity, and your experience in Congress. I am particularly impressed with your understanding of foreign policy. I was disappointed that you weren’t able to come to Northwest Florida to campaign during the Republican primary, as I wanted to hear your message in person and, possibly, have the opportunity to meet you personally. I followed my heart and voted for you in the Florida Republican primary, even though it was apparent that Mitt Romney would win Florida. I am thankful that you are continuing to be active in supporting our Republican candidate in defeating Barack Obama, a president who has made incredible gains in his objective of destroying our once great nation, which includes tramping our The Constitution of the United States of America. Barack Obama must leave the White House in the upcoming election, and I have no doubt that he will be defeated in a landslide (unless he and his cronies alter the voting results to make him the winner and dictator, who will do everything in his power to make all Americans dependent on the government so he can rule the dumb masses. Please keep up your good work. I totally admire you for staying in the race as long as you did. I would LOVE to see you as our vice presidential candidate.
Sign me up Rick! I’m praying that our leaders will see the light and stand up for Freedom and do the right thing.
Santorum, where do I sign up? I’m ready to get this guy out of office! God first, everyone second…Me last!!
