The Republican National Committee (RNC) wants to re-brand Obama’s message as “Hype and Blame” rather than “Hope and Change”
The RNC released a video this morning that plays clips from Obama’s campaign year in 2008 and comparing it with the economic failures of today.
“Barack Obama once promised to hold himself accountable, but now he’s making excuses and blaming others for his failures,” said the RNC Chairman Reince Priebus in a press release. “The ‘great uniter’ has resorted to dividing the American people against each other by creating animosity and scorn to win reelection. He doesn’t have a record to run on, so he’s painting his opponent as someone people should run from.”
This video comes ahead of Obama’s first official stops of his reelection campaign in swing states Virginia and Ohio.
The RNC will need to come out with many more of these moving videos and web ads in order to stand a chance against the coming Obama power-campaign. Obama has raised twice as much money as Mitt Romney and is expected to reach the billion dollar mark for campaign spending.
Hopefully “Hype and Blame” is only the beginning.
